N. Kent Clarke is a senior lawyer practicing primarily in Wills, Estates and Real Property.
He has appeared at all levels of court and served as successful co–counsel in defending one of the most complex criminal prosecutions in Nova Scotia. He enjoys the challenges of a varied practice but has focused most of his practice on individuals rather than big corporations. His main enjoyment is helping others.
Kent’s commitment to his community can be seen through his active involvement in politics and with several fraternal and charitable organizations. He is a founding member and currently chairman of the board of the SRCF Learning Centre for Children which provides free tutoring to children who have been diagnosed with dyslexia. There are approximately 50 children participating in the after school program. Kent administers several bursaries for graduating high school students in Nova Scotia and acts as solicitor for Philae Shriners of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
He is a member of the Real Estate Lqwyers Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS) and a past member-at-large of the Canadian Bar Association, Nova Scotia Council and served as the CBA representative on the Nova Scotia Barristers Society’s Provincial Court Liaison Committee.
When not involved in legal matters or his community, Kent finds time to work towards a black belt in Taekwon-do. You might also have seen him on the football field where he has helped coach the Halifax Argos PeeWee and Bantam Football Teams. Kent was recently instrumental in creating and sponsoring the nomination of NFL Coach of the Year for Canada.
He has raised his family in Clayton Park where he has lived most of his adult life and he looks forward to meeting you and yours.
